Raichur
In a grassroots push for quality science education, the SBI Foundation and Prayoga Institute of Education Researchhave jointly expanded the ‘Kriya’ experiential learning program to 12 government schools in Raichur district.
Key features of the project:
- Custom-built science labs with hands-on apparatus
- Teacher mentoring for inquiry-based pedagogy
- Long-term evaluation to assess conceptual learning gains
This initiative builds on Prayoga’s decade-long work in Karnataka and now targets schools where traditional rote methods dominate.
Funded under SBI’s CSR portfolio, the program is designed to spark curiosity and STEM readiness among students in underserved regions.
🧪 Will this become a replicable model for science education across rural India or remain a high-impact but isolated effort?
