India’s CSR Spending Projected to Soar to ₹1.2 Lakh Crore by 2035

A fresh report from Give Grants, titled “dus spoke India Inc 2025”, estimates that India’s annual CSR expenditure will nearly quadruple from ₹35,000 crore in FY 24 to ₹1.2 lakh crore by FY 2034‑35

Key insights:

  • Nearly 70% of CSR spending comes from just 200 companies, concentrated in states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Delhi.
  • Regions like the North‑East, Bihar, and large parts of Uttar Pradesh receive only 2–4% of CSR funds.
  • Experts warn that without strategic and regional equity focus, such massive growth could worsen geographic imbalances.

Will CSR’s explosive growth be matched by deeper commitment to inclusion—or only further privilege already well‑funded regions?
