Delhi Police has booked protestors at India Gate under Section 197 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for allegedly raising slogans in support of a slain Maoist commander. The FIR also includes charges of assaulting police personnel with pepper spray. Five students were remanded to judicial custody, with their lawyers alleging custodial torture and police brutality.
